Orthopedic Designs North America, Inc. - Talon Lag Screw
The Talon™ lag screw is designed to deploy its talons into the calcar femorale region, allowing the surgeon to fully compress the fracture, thereby, reducing non-unions and providing a more solid construct.
Innovative Design
The specialized stainless steel alloy talons are designed with an aggressive gripping tip. The Talons™ accommodate easy deployment and accompanying side plates are available in a wide variety of configurations and angles.
Variable Depth Deployment
Four deployable Talons™ firmly anchor the lag screw to cortical bone reducing the risk of lag screw cutout. The talons are deployable to variable depths based upon surgeon preference and the quality of bone available.
Fully Retractable Talons
Talons™ are fully retractable should explantation be necessary. Talon™ hip screws have been successfully explanted in many long term implantations.
Space Saving Tray System
The Talon™ CHS container tray system was designed to provide full visualization of the implants and instrumentation. To accommodate valuable space savings the (2) tray system also includes retraction instrumentation.
